It’s time for another round-up, the last one was soup and that was months ago!  Well, this one is all about the snacks – nutty, raw and often chocolatey.

I thought of this the other afternoon when I had just three Brazil nuts in my bag.  Now I have nothing against Brazil nuts. Indeed I really love them – full of magnesium which we often don’t get enough of and essential for good health. But I have taken to having my Brazil nuts with a couple of squares of my favourite Green and Blacks 85% Dark Organic Chocolate.  But I’d run out the night before and so I just had the three sad (but large) nuts.  Nice but well, just nuts.  So that led me to start thinking that I need to make something a little more tasty and that lead me to thinking about a round-up.  Get them all in one place instead of all over the blog!

Chocolate Nutty Raw Bars

There is no doubt that nuts are a powerhouse of nutrients, not to mention being super tasty.  These bars have loads of macadamia and brazil nuts, some coconut along with a good scoop of coconut oil.  Then to add a bit of sweetness, a few dates with cocoa for that yummy chocolatey flavour.

Nutty Chocolate Raw Bars take only a moment to whizz together and are prefect with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or just on their own.

It was Fathers Day this past weekend and the father of my children (like all dad’s – and single mum’s) needed an acknowledgement of his overall awesomeness.  So as the day was his day, he got to say what he would like me to make him.

Typically his first call was sausage rolls – who would have guessed? Easy things to make or buy if you are into wheat – very ticksy things to make when you are grain & gluten free, eat whole foods and prefer not to use a gluten-free flour mix.

So I gave it my all and the result? Well you will have to read on!!
