Is it not too much to ask for a snack bar that tastes great, has no added sugar and full of ingredients you don’t need a Science degree to understand?  

Well now, how about these tasty little morsels? 

With inspiration from the Bliss Ball collection, not only are these snacks grain and gluten free, they are super easy to make, wrap and go.  Full of healthy nuts, apricots, coconut and with a tiny hint of chocolate.  Ideal for the any lunch box, isn’t that just want you want?

Dark Chocolate and Citrus Macadamia Balls

This simple and oh, so healthy treat time recipe for Dark Chocolate and Citrus Macadamia Balls is from Mark’s Daily Apple and was the inspiration for creating this new Bliss Ball section on the blog.

Mark’s recipe calls for just three ingredients, macadamia nuts, orange zest and quality chocolate.  Then whizz, mix, roll, chill and you’re done.  Simple, tasty, nutritious.

What more could you ask for in a primarily inspired snack?

Chocolate Hazelnut Balls

This is the first post for a new collection of Bliss ball recipes.  Tasty yummy treats that are so good for your body and your soul!  Some are my own creations and others such as this one have their inspiration from other awesome cooks.

There are a number of versions of this recipe, a make at home take on those popular choccies found everywhere at this time of the year.  I particularly like this one from  Caroline O’Fee for it’s simplicity.  Dress these yummies up with chocolate or coconut, or just eat them straight from the bowl!

Take care to share because even though there is no refined sugar, there is still sugar in both the dates, as well as the maple syrup.
